A Natural Treatment Regimen That Has Worked For Some Of My Mommy Friends

I saw these photos on FB yesterday and my heart just ached for this little boy, and all the other kiddos struggling with eczema.  What a wicked condition!  But the good news is that many people have found natural ways to deal with it, and in most experiences, the natural treatments seem to work better than prescriptions!   To be clear, I am not a Doctor, I’m not making specific recommendations.  I’m sharing one Mom’s treatment protocol, because it worked.  She gave permission to share this story, because she wants to help other little kids who are suffering. eczema shaklee How One Mother Healed Her Sons Eczema NaturallyThe first 4 photos span a 29 day period in April-May 2014.   The last photo was taken in September 2014 to show the continued improvement, and that benefits weren’t temporary. I’ve seen other natural treatment regimens and they all have a few things in common… Detoxing the body and adding super nutrients by:

  • changing to very safe non-toxic skin care and and bathing products
  • replacing regular laundry detergent with a safe, environmentally friendly option
  • getting toxic cleaning products out of the house
  • high quality nutritional supplements to help improve the immune system

The following treatment regimen is certainly not the only way to tackle eczema naturally, but these are the fastest and most dramatic results I’ve personally seen. First photo shows the area prior to natural treatment.  It looked like this for about 3 weeks, then Mom ordered Calming Complex, a topical solution solution that comfort and soothes for “quick recovery from environmental stress.  It’s the perfect “after” product – after sunburn, after skiing, after airplane travel, after hot/cold shifts – after anything that makes your skin irritated and craving for comfort.”  (From their website).  She said “When I finally ordered the calming complex and put it on, it literally got better that second. It was almost like one of those slow motion plant videos where you watch how it grows in a fast pace video type thing and I literally was shocked on how fast it started to heal.”

The company that makes Calming Complex is known for high quality vitamins and supplements, and toxin free organic cleaning products, so she had also ordered: Incredivites - A kid’s multivitamin designed to promote a healthy immune system.
Mighty Smarts - A Kid-friendly DHA.  ”Scientifically formulated with 100% natural, ultra-pure DHA, one of the most important omega-3 fatty acids in the brain and eyes. They are 75% organic and contain no added artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.”  (from the company website).
Optiflora Probiotic - Not specifically for kids, but the probiotic is so small it’s easy for kids to take with food.  We use this one because of the way it’s designed to dissolve at the right place in the gut.  ”Optiflora Probiotic Complex utilizes patented triple-layer encapsulation technology, is designed to live delivery of probiotics to the large intestine, where they provide the greatest benefit.”  I stick the little “pearl” in a spoonful of yogurt or ice-cream, and my 3 and 6 yr old are easily able to swallow it.  If you don’t want this one, go to your local health food store.  Probiotics must be high quality in order to be of any benefit. When

I was double checking with Mom to make sure I had the list of treatment supplies right, she replied with “thats what I used…of course changed the cleaning products, I should mention too. I used to use ALL free and clear and thought that would at least help but now I know what was in it.” Yeah, I used to use Free & Clear laundry detergents too.
“Free & Clear” doesn’t mean they are made without fragrance, what it actually means is that there’s additional toxic chemicals added to the detergent to mask the smell of the other ingredients!  Conventional “free & clear” products are actually MORE toxic!

Here’s what Mom is using to clean with now:

Go to to see all the non-toxic products available, then find the individual products on the website.  We opted to getting this kit, because it’s a huge money saver in the long run.

Check with your health food store for a great bath wash for little kids that won’t aggravate eczema, or try the one from Jessica Alba’s Honest Company.  We love that one!  It’s available HERE or at Target. If you’re trying to treat a little one’s eczema, good luck!  I hope it goes as well for you as it did for this Mama.

*Disclaimer!  I am not a Doctor.  The Mother who used this treatment “protocol” is also not a doctor, she was just paying attention to her gut and had given up on the steroids and treatment creams, because they weren’t working for HER son.  They may work for other people.  The remedies posted here may NOT work for everyone.  I just wanted to share the results with you because I have personally benefited from removing toxic cleaning products from my home, and taking nutritional supplements.  The information on this website are not intended to treat or diagnose a medical condition.  Please use common sense when researching natural remedies.
