The following products were listed as the Top Cancer Causers found in the Average Home by the National Cancer Prevention Coalition

TALC is a known Carcinogen associated with ovarian cancer; also a lung irritant.

2. Cover Girl Replenishing Natural Finish Make Up (Foundation)
Contains BHA (carcinogen), Talc and Parabens (endocrine disruptors associated with breast cancer)

3. Crest Tartar Control Toothpaste
Contains FD&C BLUE #1 (carcinogen), SACCHARIN (carcinogen), FLUORIDE (linked to bone cancer).

4. VO5 Hair Conditioner
Contains FORMALDEHYDE (Carcinogen & neurotoxin), FD&C Blue #4 (carcinogen)

5. Clairol Nice-n-Easy Hair Color
Contains QUATERNlUM-15 (Formaldehyde-releaser, carcinogen, neurotoxin), DIETHANOLAMINE (DEA) (Carcinogen, also interacts with nitrites to form a carcinogenic nitrosamine)

6. Ajax Cleanser
Contains CRYSTALLINE SILICA  (Carcinogen, also an eye, skin and lung irritant)

7. Lysol Disinfectant
Contains ORTHOPHENYLPHENOL (OPP) (Carcinogen)

8. Zodiac Flea & Tick Collars
This affects your pets as well as your family.
Contains PROPOXUR (Carcinogen and neurotoxin)

9. Ortho Weed-B-Gon Lawn Weed Killer
Contains SODIUM 2,4-DICHLOROPHENOXYACETATE (2,4-D), Carcinogenic with evidence of casual relation to lymphoma, soft tissue sarcoma and other cancers.  Also neurotoxin and reproductive toxin.

Also on the list from CPC were conventional milk (look for rBGH-Free Organic milk), Beef Hot Dogs (look for nitrate free, grass fed antibiotic-free hot dogs), and ZUD Heavy Duty Cleanser (I’ve never heard of it, but most traditional cleaning products are loaded with cancer causing chemicals so look for “green” non-toxic alternatives

I don’t have any of these in my house and haven’t ever had most of them. I had lysol and the crest toothpaste when I was younger but now use only essential oil based cleaners and skin care and no chemicals. So glad I don’t have to worry about these.
